The Story:
Bi-racial Girl grows up in the South. Moves north. Is called back home to attend Beauty Queen Cousin's wedding to her childhood sweetheart. Madcap hijinx ensue. Girl learns the importance of family.

The inspiration:
I'm half-Japanese just like Jen. I grew up in the South listening to country music and eating sushi, and wondering why my Japanese DNA didn't give me the innate ability to master karate without even trying.
